In fact, how the prisoners get food in the jails, it depends on the state how much the state government wants to spend on its inmates. Because the state government sees the management of prisons in our country. According to figures from the National Crime Record Bureau of the National Crime Records Bureau, the state governments spend an average of 52 rupees 42 paise on each prisoner. In which prisoners are given two-time food with morning breakfast. While the governments of Jammu and Kashmir and Nagaland spend the most money on their inmates, the government of Delhi, Goa, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have the lowest on their prisoners.

This guideline has been given in the Model Prison manual by the Home Ministry that a male prisoner should get 2320 calories and women should get 1900 calories daily. But the plate which gets on it is very bad, like thin lentils, four roti and some ordinary rice. Food is available only, so some prisoners eat food and then some prisoners call out to eat. But to get food from outside, special permissions have to be taken. Once you get permissions, you can order some limited food only and you can not get this permission every time.

People are afraid when they hear the name of the jail; many people are scared just because they get very bad food in the jails. There are canteens in the prison where the prisoners can buy food. Prisoners can ask for up to Rs 2,000 from their home every month. Besides, the prisoners who work in the Jello also get money from them, then they can also buy food from canteens from those money. The result comes out that there is a different kind of food in every jail. If there is a lot of good food in a jail, then there is very bad food in some jail. So friends, now you may have understood how much food is available in the jails. In the true sense, what kind of food can be eaten in a prison, it can tell better that he has been in jail.
